We saw in the first of the Quantum Series, “Spooky Action” – a teenager science fair gets mixed up with a parent’s ‘quantum entanglement’ experiment, a phenomenon that Einstein said was impossible. This quirk of the quantum world, through a little help from these earth scientists results in a communication link with similar scientist on a recently discovered exoplanet.

As the success of this communication link grows, multiple earth government organizations frown on this kind of interchange with ‘a foreign power,’ forcing a little known United Nations Secretariat, UNOOSA, United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs, to step in.

Unknown to our earth scientists, certain factions on another planet also object to this interchange, with actions that brings their work to the brink of disaster.
